The Landing, the Airstream, the soul, and beyond!

Chris Cullum is no stranger to the culinary world.  For many years, he provided great cuisine to his father’s Riverwalk hotspot, “Jim Cullum’s Landing”.  After a few years at the Landing, Chris managed the nightclub, “Limelight”, bringing one of the best beer and wine selections onto the St. Mary’s strip.  Then in 2010, he had a classic Airstream trailer retrofitted to become the first of his culinary choices, “Attaboy Burgers”. The Airstream used to travel in the early days, but it is now currently parked at the music venue Paper Tiger, bringing more goodness back to the St Mary’s Strip. Shortly after the opening of Attaboy, Chris began to manage a second restaurant location inside the long time soul and jazz establishment on the near East side of downtown San Antonio called “Tucker’s Kozy Korner”. Along with a great menu, there is Monday night jazz with the ‘Jim Cullum Jazz Band’, semi-regular dance floor events including the famed ‘Soul Spot’ nights, and the weekly ‘Sunday Soul Brunch’. Chris has already reestablished Tucker’s as one of the best hangouts in the city. It has been reborn. In 2015, Chris opened a third offering one block off the St Mary’s Strip on Mistletoe called “Attagirl Ice House”. Like Attaboy Burgers and the menu at Tucker’s, the flavors and ingredients at Attagirl are tasty, fresh, and full of soul. Attagirl features their signature hot chicken wings inside a newly revamped tap room. Even though Attagirl focuses on chicken dishes and cold brews, Chris really would like you to try what he would say is one of the best homemade pimento cheese sandwiches around.  If you want to have a chat with him about catering your event, or his entrepreneurial endeavors, then feel free to email him: cullum@attaboyburgers.com
